How do I get planning approval for work already carried out?
It is never recommended that any work be done without the correct Building Warrant and Planning Permission. However, retrospective approvals can be sought by submitting detailed plans and specifications.

How long is planning permission valid for?
Planning permission is valid for 5 years. If you do not build within this time, you will need to make a new application and this will incur further fees.

How long is a building warrant valid?
The building warrant is valid for 3 years. If you do not build within this time, you will need to make a new application and this will incur further fees.
